- Virtual Technology is a powerful transportation management
system that allows our customers access to the information they need
from their own website. Through this interface our customers can enter
their shipments, track them through to completion and even pick up
images of their POD's all without picking up a telephone.
- Our Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems are provided by Maves
International Software, and are available for assisting Columbian's customers with inventory
control, production date control, assembly, freight consolidation, on-line inventory visibility
and many other warehousing and transportation applications.
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions are available for both transportation and warehousing
activities through Columbia's EDI partner – Kleinschmidt Inc or a direct connection through AS2
provided by Boomi Inc.
- Radio Frequency and Bar Code Scanning is available at each of our warehousing facilities. It is
used to identify, collect, process and transmit data in an efficient and timely manner.
- Global Positioning Systems (GPS) are provided by Nextel and utilized by Columbian to offer our
customers timely and accurate position reporting.
- Yardview is a yard management and trailer tracking software program that allows us to coordinate
and direct inbound and outbound traffic for trailers, containers and other fleet equipment. This
program allows our customer and Columbian to bring multiple locations under a centralized data center.
