Columbian Logistics Network will sponsor a team in the Warrior Dash this Saturday, September 20th to help raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and help promote company fitness. As an incentive to raise funds, team captain and Warehousing General Manager Jim Gadziemski pledged to wear a tutu during the race if $300 could be raised. At the time of publishing, $400 has been raised, and Gadziemski will be suiting up in a fluffy custom Columbian Black and Yellow tutu Saturday morning.
Abigail Orshal, Human Resource Specialist at Columbian Logistics, organized the team event. “We are really looking forward to our inaugural Warrior Dash Team outing. It’s a fun race, raises money and awareness for a great cause, and preparing for the race is in line with our company fitness goals.”
The Michigan II Warrior Dash is a 3 mile race broken up by obstacles with names like ‘Storming Normandy’, ‘Deadman’s Drop’ and ‘Warrior Roast’. The race will take place at Millennium Park, 1400 Maynard Ave SW, Walker, MI 49534. Donations to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital can still be made at http://www.columbianlogistics.com/warriordash.
