Columbian Logistics Network is pleased to announce that it will serve as full conference sponsor of the  Commodity Trends 2016 Outlook hosted by regional economic incubator The Right Place / MMTC-West  & The Supply Chain Management Council of West Michigan. The event, held at the Pinnacle Center on October 6th, will provide data on commodity trends to help build a purchasing strategy while dealing with volatile markets. Columbian Logistics Leadership Team Promotions

Columbian Logistic s Network’s vision is to be recognized as one of the leading 3rd party logistics companies operating in the Midwest. As part of the effort to achieve this vision, the following leadership changes have been implemented:

Jim Gadziemski is promoted to Vice President Warehouse Operations and Erick Haskell is promoted to General Manager Sprinter Transportation. Bob Christian is promoted to Executive Vice President where he will lead warehouse operations and administrative services.

Doug Johnson, Columbian Logistics Network

Columbian Logistics Network welcomes Executive Vice President Doug Johnson services.

Joining the leadership team as Executive Vice President will be Douglas Johnson. Doug is an Ohio native with an extensive background in transportation and business development, working with companies like Hub Group, CRST, Celadon Trucking and Gainey Transportation. In his new role at Columbian, Doug will be leading transportation operations and business development. The Executive Vice Presidents will provide day-to-day leadership at Columbian, while John Zevalkink will continue in his role as CEO. “These changes will provide the structure and staffing necessary to continue Columbian’s long term growth and sustainability,” notes John Zevalkink.

Columbian Speaking at SQF International Conference

SQF-Conference-2015

Columbian Logistics Network is pleased to announce that Blair Thomas, Director of Customer Care, will present at the 2015 SQF International Conference. The conference is hosted by the Safe Quality Food Institute, whose mission is “To deliver consistent, globally recognized food safety and quality certification programs based on sound scientific principles, consistently applied across all industry sectors…”.

Thomas will deliver a presentation titled “Walls To Wheels: Extending SQF Principals Across The Supply Chain”.  “As a company our most fundamental value is Safety, and that includes food safety. We hope this content will help food safety professionals bring back tactics and processes that will help extend food safety out into areas of the supply chain that have historically been ‘rusty links'” Said Thomas.
